From client TM: “Her listening is a creative force. I am very thankful for her.”
From client CJ: “Coaching with her has been an amazing journey and confidence builder. She has helped me do some really hard things, and it has had a starburst effect.”
From client JP: “These conversations helped me have a different mindset and approach. I was surprised at how much they helped. Coaching with her was so valuable.”
From client SC: “I met Hilarie when I was given a long list of experienced coaches who were willing to work with a cohort of BIPOC individuals who were beginning certification. . . . Hilarie is not BIPOC, and I knew that when I chose her.
“From our first meeting, it was clear that Hilarie was the perfect coach for me. I could see that there is something almost spiritual in the way she approaches her coaching work. . . . Simply put, Hilarie Gaylin is the coach you want when you are serious about getting unstuck, trained up and out of your own way.”
From client RJ: “My coaching experience with Hilarie has been fantastic and couldn’t have come at a better time. I was skeptical about how much I could benefit from this coaching experience, but with Hilarie’s help, I was able to appreciate my strengths and talents as well as to identify areas that needed change and growth. Hilarie provided practical tools and the guidance I needed.
“She was patient and supportive every step of the way and helped me tackle challenges and form new and effective means of making positive changes and achieving success. My only regret is that I didn’t find Hilarie sooner!”
From client JG: “Thanks to Hilarie and her thoughtful and extremely helpful coaching, I am a survivor. I started working with Hilarie two years ago when I was going through some personal issues that were holding me back in my life. Very shortly in my tenure with Hilarie, I started to make major strides. Then, the unexpected happened and within eight months we lost two pregnancies. The first pregnancy was lost at 18 weeks and the second pregnancy was lost at almost 10 weeks. As you can imagine these were life events that I feared I wouldn’t make it through. However, my coaching with Hilarie and my ability to help myself with the tools that I gained during my sessions with her, I have become more resilient than I ever imagined I would. She was not only there for me during the sessions that were scheduled, but she constantly reached out to me in between sessions not only to make her presence known in my life, but with genuine care and concern for how my family and I were doing. I swear that if I did not have Hilarie and coaching in my life during that time, I truly do not know where I would be now. I continue to work with Hilarie and I use it as my “tune-up” in life. We are so quick to pay attention to things like cars, fill their tanks, make sure they have oil, etc. yet we hesitate at times to fill up our own tanks and to get that tune-up we may so desperately need. So even when things are going great in my life, my sessions with Hilarie act as that tune-up at that I need to keep me on track. I have grown leaps and bounds in the past two years. I am so grateful to have her as my coach. If any of you are looking for a way to shift and change your life in the most positive of ways, Hilarie is definitely your coach.”
And here’s a gift from Mary Oliver.
WHEN I AM AMONG THE TREES
by Mary Oliver
When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness.
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.
I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.
Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”
